Indonesian Government offers master program scholarship to Serbian Nationals

Indonesia and Serbia relations has been long established since the time of Yugoslavia. The two countries support bilateral relations in political, economic, social, and security fields. In order to promote people-to-people contact of both countries, Indonesian government annually offers scholarship to Serbian nationals.

In the spirit of the Non- Alignment Movement (NAM) and to unite its member countries, the Government of the Republic of Indonesia offers postgraduate scholarship (Master degree) for the students of the NAM member countries. The scholarship is titled the "Developing Countries Partnership/DCP Scholarship", has been offered also to the students in Serbia.

Hundreds of students from neighbouring developing countries in Africa, South Eas Asia, East Europe and South America have been awarded a Master Degree in various fields from 13 major universities in Indonesia.

The main purpose of the DCP Scholarship is to promote and increase the relationship between the NAM member countries, and especially the relationship between Indonesia and Serbia. It has also been designed to provide stronger relation and understanding among participating countries.

The scheme of the DCP scholarship program are as follows:

1. Indonesian Language Course 8 months
2. Master Preparatory Program 4 months
3. Master Program 24 months (4 semesters)

The Scholarship covers monthly allowance, include books and research allowance of Rp. 2.400.000,00 (equal to 240 Euro) and free of tuition fee. Participants is advised to bring enough money in USD for unexpected additional expenses in Indonesia. Scholarship include a round trip international airfare from the international airport of the student's home countries to Indonesia, including local transport to the host University.

Application of this scholarship can be done through Indonesian Embassy in Belgrade, equipped with the invitation letter from the KNB scholarship website, at knb.dikti.go.id. Deadline to submit application to this scholarship is beginning of April 2012 to the Indonesian Embassy in Belgrade.
