As part of the Norglobal research project entiled 'European integration in higher education and research in the Western Balkans' two PhD scholarships will be awarded for the Doctoral Programme in Comparative Politics at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Zagreb.
Scholarship recipients will receive a monthly stipend to cover the tuition fee and cost of living.The scholarship is awarded for three years, conditional on timely fulfilment of all academic and project-related requirements.
The call is open to citizens from Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia, Montenegro and Serbia.
This call for applictions is for enrollment in the academic year 2011/2012.
The doctoral programme starts in the spring semester 2012.
Upon successful completion of the doctoral programme graduates are awarded the academic degree of doctor of sciences in the field social sciences, discipline of political science (dr.sc.).
The Director of the doctoral programme is prof.dr.sc. Mirjana Kasapović.
General eligibility requirements
The doctoral programme in comparative politics at the Faculty of Political Sciences in Zagreb is open to:
Applicants with foreign academic credentials must have their degrees recognized by the relevant bodies in Croatia.
The call is open to applicants with GPA between 3.5 and 5.0 (or equivalent) from completed degree programme. Exceptionally, the call is open to applicants with GPA of 3.0 and above, but in such cases the application must be accompanied by two academic letters of recommendation.
Applicants must be proficient in the English language.
The tuition fee for the entire doctoral programme is 60.000,00 Croatian Kuna, or 10.000,00 per semester. The tuition fee is paid before the start of each semester to the Faculty of Political Science bank account:
