Consumer Marketing Segment Internship



Consumer Marketing Segment is managing consumer part of Telenor customer base including prepaid and postpaid (second part being Business Marketing Segment). Consumer Segment is responsible for profit and loss, focused on customer satisfaction, product portfolio development and customer base growth. Our team is setting directions for strategic and operational development of consumer customer base. We execute on those directions by coordinating a number of cross-functional activities aimed at reaching desired KPIs (customer satisfaction and value, customer base size, revenue, cost, gross profit etc.).

Key responsibilities:

  • Support implementation of new solutions for consumer customers:
    • Observe, research and analyze the market
    • Identify unmet customer needs
    • Propose and discuss business ideas, test and shape them into marketable solutions
  • Support senior team members in managing the best of those solutions through all the steps from starting idea to market launch:
    • Conducting business analysis to secure the management support
    • Conducting cost-benefit analysis to assess the profitability
    • Coordinating cross-functional project team (market research, business intelligence, pricing, devices, product development, sales, customer care, technology, financial controlling, regulatory, legal, risk, marcom, PR, training, etc.) to tackle all the aspects of the analysis and implementation
    • Defining the market goals and briefing marketing communication and PR departments as well as engaging in selection and shape of the creative concept
    • Briefing and preparing sales and customer care agents for new products in portfolio
    • Reporting on project status, ensuring management support throughout the implementation process as well as after the launch
    • Following up with product and campaign performances
    • Provide operational support from consumer segment to inquiries from other teams regarding internal rules and procedures
